Our Mountain Laurel IA has all the charm of the Mountain Laurel I with some interesting extras that increase its size and provide added features that make it special. This 3,146 square foot house opens up to the outside immediately upon entering. A 19'- 4" x 30' great room with fireplace and dining area face the back for perfect mountain, valley or lake views. You will enjoy being a part of the activity from every room on the first floor. An airy plan allows for great circulation and excellent views of the outside. An open kitchen with an entertainment island and serving counter allow for easy entertaining and flexible utilization. High, beamed ceilings vault upward and bring the outside in through large glass doors and transoms above. A covered autumn porch and exterior fireplace open off the great room. A large stone terrace off the dining room provides another dining area outside for entertaining.

Aside from the plan being the reverse of the Mountain Laurel I, a number of differences are more evident on the interior. The stair tower of the Mountain Laurel I has been converted to a cozy study with a high beamed ceiling and clerestory. A freestanding stair has been added in a sunny light well at one end of the great room. It connects to a balcony that runs the full length of the room offering a good view from the floor above. The great room has been extended further to add more space for dining and improved circulation.
