The Restaurant at La Bastide offers its visitors and guests a unique, first-class dining experience using fresh, local ingredients. Enjoy an elegant meal in our signature dining room that spans beneath a 900-pound chandelier suspended by a single, 50-foot timber. Or, guests may choose to dine al fresco on a picturesque terrace offering breathtaking views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and local vineyard.
An award winning graduate of the Western Culinary Institute, La Bastide Executive Chef Joey Pesner and his kitchen staff prepare daily an array of meats and fish over an open fire grill as well as bake and serve house-made pastries. Chef Pesner takes pride in using fresh herbs and seasonal fruits and vegetables from The Cliffs Organic Farm, located just down the road from the Inn to create his menu.
“We utilize the bounty of meats and produce raised or grown here and also routinely draw from the international market. When you’re able to play with these kinds of ingredients, you don’t need complicated recipes. Find the best ingredients possible, and with little refinement and simple techniques, these products can be showcased within a dish,” explains Chef Pesner.
