At La Bastide, you can leave all your cares and worries behind. We cater to your every whim with discerning detail and familial friendliness.

Guest suites. The Inn features fourteen highly-appointed guest suites, unique in every feature, that include among them luxurious double whirlpool Jacuzzis, original artwork, French antiques, private fireplaces, outdoor balconies overlooking vistas of vineyards and the Blue Ridge mountainscape, and beds with handmade mattresses and goose-down duvets. Our guests receive the finest treatment, complete with turndown service, robe and slippers, and housemade truffles. No request is too large for our attending staff and hoteliers.

Common rooms. A grand foyer welcomes you to La Bastide and gives way to a delightful array of common rooms in which to rest, relax, and enjoy your stay. One of the area’s foremost craftsmen in wrought iron sculpted the vines from which grapes of Baccarat crystal hang in our cozy breakfast and sitting room overlooking the windowed terrace leading to the rolling Blue Ridge foothills. North Carolina hardwoods, extracted from a tobacco mill, add special warmth to our library, which shelves every issue of National Geographic back to the 1960’s. Our boardroom is the perfect place for important meetings, executive retreats, and corporate events. The Restaurant at La Bastide presents a formidable menu and wine list of outstanding quality, offering unforgettable dining experiences.

The grounds and environs. La Bastide at The Cliffs is a tranquil oasis of natural beauty to all the senses. On our grand terrace, enjoy a glass of wine or the daily paper, enjoy a game of croquet and petanque, or simply admire Crescent Mountain Vineyards that border the Inn and provide the bounty for our annual Harvest Celebration.  Allow us to arrange a day of horseback riding, fly fishing, or skeet shooting, or suggest a trail or scenic drive in one of the 14 state and 4 national parks surrounding the Inn.
