The brainchild of famed Australian golf coaches Steve Bann and Dale Lynch, the Institute is modeled after the prestigious Victorian Institute of Sport golf program in Melbourne, where the duo have trained leading tour professionals including Geoff Ogilvy, Stuart Appleby, Aaron Baddeley, Robert Allenby and KJ Choi.
The highly successful training regime that incorporates a multitude of factors including diet, mental and physical attributes fits well with The Cliffs’ philosophy on health and wellness. Great for members, the Institute features the latest computer, video and motion analysis technology along with a state-of-the-art indoor/outdoor practice facility.
The International Institute of Golf at Keowee Springs is Bann and Lynch’s only teaching academy in North America. The Institute, as well as the Tom Fazio golf course at Keowee Springs opened in fall 2008 and welcomes students of all levels and ages, including both recreational and professional golfers.
