News Releases Timothy P. Cherry, CPA Hired as New Senior Vice President of Strategic Corporate Planning
July 13, 2006 – The Cliffs Communities is pleased to announce that Timothy P. Cherry, CPA has joined its organization as Senior Vice President of Strategic Corporate Planning.
Cherry, a former shareholder with Elliott Davis, LLC, has over thirty years of experience including twenty-seven years in public accounting and three years with a venture capital firm. His areas of expertise include real estate development, complex tax transactions and planning, mergers and acquisitions, tax controversy, corporate tax planning, executive compensation and estate, gift and trust planning. He is a graduate of the University of Kentucky and is licensed as a CPA in Georgia and South Carolina.
James B. Anthony, Founder and President of the Cliffs Communities, stated “We are excited to have Tim join our team. We know he will bring an additional dimension to help us focus on current operational initiatives and long range planning.”
Last year alone, The Cliffs’ workforce grew from 563 to 719 associates. The Cliffs’ tremendous growth will continue to rise dramatically with new groundbreaking projects including The Cliffs’ newest community, The Cliffs at Mountain Park, which will create more than 900 new job opportunities.
