The World of Energy at Keowee-Toxaway is an informational center that shows this history of the area and how they are using different methods of producing electricity in the area. It highlights the hydro plants on area lakes that are unusual for most to see. The World of Energy has tours and activities like a vision chamber and areas where visitors can play educational computer games. Hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00am-5:00pm and Saturday and Sunday from 12:00-5:00pm.

Fort Hill was once the home of John C. Calhoun, who was a 19th century statesman. The home is an antebellum plantation home that caries many of the original family artifacts. The home is owned by Clemson University.
