The Hendersonville area has plenty of outdoor facilities for adults and kids alike. If you’re looking for remote trails or parks in town there are lots of choices within minutes of downtown Hendersonville.
From Jump off Rock visitors can see a panoramic view of the Blue Ridge Mountains as well as the Pisgah National Forest. This scenic rock holds historical value and references to the rock are found in ancient Indian legends. There is no admission to the park and it is open from sunrise to sunset everyday.
DuPont State Forest is known for its beautiful waterfalls and hundreds of miles of hiking trails. People all over the area enjoy the 10,238 acres that the forest has to offer. Activities include hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, and fishing.
