Greenville Zoo is located close to the heart of Greenville. The zoo features a reptile exhibit and visitors can view animals from all over the world.
The Recreation District of Greenville County is the largest provider of public leisure opportunities in the greater Greenville area. The agency manages 42 diverse parks that provide activities from casual picnicking and camping to ice skating and kayaking. In addition, the Recreation District offers a variety of programs for citizens of all ages. Swim teams, tennis, horseback riding, youth and adult sports are just a few of the opportunities that are available year round.

Paris Mountain State Park is located nine miles from the heart of Greenville and offers its visitors with a beautiful outdoor experience. Campsites are available to those who are looking for overnight visits to the park. Hiking trails lead up to the top of the mountain for beautiful views.

Timmons Park is a 26-acre park that includes tennis courts, softball field, playground, picnic area, golf course, and mountain bike trails for visitors.

Downtown Alive is held every Thursday night in the spring and summer on the streets of downtown Greenville. This event hosts bands and other features. These events also raise money for the Metropolitan Arts Council in Greenville.
Main Street Jazz is hosted every Friday night from April through September in front of the Hyatt in downtown Greenville.
Falls Park on the Reedy is a new park that overlooks Greenville’s Ready River. A pedestrian suspension bridge stretches from one side of the river to the other and overlooks the falls that run beside Main Street. This park has gardens and nature trails to help visitors unwind.
